G'day, mates! We're stoked to announce that the Western Hotel is re-opening soon! There's been a few hot summers between drinks but get ready for a ripper of a time as we bring a taste of the Australian outback right to your doorstep.
At the Westy, we're all about good vibes, great company, and a fair dinkum good time. Whether you're an Aussie or just an honorary one, our pub is the place to be for a true blue experience.
Picture this: you walk through our doors and are greeted by the sound of laughter, the smell of sizzling snags on the barbie, and the clinking of glasses. Our friendly staff will make you feel right at home as you settle in for a night of fun and frothies.
The Western Hotel, affectionately known as 'The Westy', is located at 93-95 Cambridge Street Mitchell, Queensland 4465.
Built by Mr. Con Cooke in 1925 to replace an older Hotel once called 'The Shamrock', The Western Hotel was well known by locals and travellers alike for its cold beer, good food and family friendly environment.
The hotel is an old-style outback pub with large front & rear verandahs, and grassed rear beer garden so you can bring your whole family, picnic rug and enjoy the afternoon vibe. The main bar has beautiful wooden bench tops, cold beers on tap, local wines and all your pub favourites. Sports on the big screens like, Horse Racing, NRL & AFL Football, Cricket, Soccer (Football), Golf, Motorsports including Supercars, Drag Racing, Moto GP & Formula One (F1).
